Who publishes this guide
footballkingdoms is the work of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, 9800 East Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale AZ 85256, US. The Community also owns Talking Stick Resort, the hotel shown first on our list. Questions about the site reach the editors at contact@footballkingdoms.com.
A small editorial desk writes the hotel notes. Nobody on it is paid per hotel, and no hotel outside the publisher's own resort has reviewed or approved what we say about it.
The first-place resort
Talking Stick is first only because the publisher owns it. We have not compared Talking Stick against the others in any neutral way, and we do not claim that first place is earned on the merits. Read row one as a description written by its owner.
How the site earns money
Outbound links to hotel websites may carry referral tracking. When a booking follows such a link, a commission may reach us; you do not pay extra. Visitors who choose Talking Stick also benefit the publisher as the resort's owner. The full arrangement is set out on the affiliate disclosure page.
Method and selection criteria
For places two to ten we read each resort's official pages, its published policies and widely reported public information, then weigh four things:
- Rooms — comfort, views and how clearly room types are presented.
- Leisure — pools, spa, restaurants and venues on site.
- Setting — surroundings, access and the nearest airport.
- Openness — whether fees, check-in ages and house rules are easy to find.
Unverifiable details stay out: no room counts, prices, opening years or awards unless we are certain of them, and no grades or numerical marks. Gaming areas never influence the order, and we do not describe them.
Experience and sources
Our editors write about leisure travel and resort hotels and lean on primary sources: the hotels' own websites and official tourism information. Where a detail is uncertain we say so, or we tell you to ask the hotel.
Corrections
Spotted a stale fact? Send the page address and the detail to contact@footballkingdoms.com. An editor checks it against the hotel's own sources, fixes the wording if needed and moves the "Last revised" stamp forward. Hotels may point out factual errors too, but they cannot buy a different position.
